Fred's High Roller Blog-Ask Fred
In this section of the blog, I answer questions that you guys sent in. I will do this when I don't go gambling anywhere. I'll answer questions about anything, go ahead and send them in and if they're good enough we'll put them on the site. Allison Atlanta, GA: Favorite casino all time. Go... I like 'em all. :) Ron Memphis, TN: When you go to Tunica, where do you stay? Do you get comps from everywhere? I like the Horseshoe. It has a traditional classy feel to it. For comps, I get stuff from Horseshoe, Harrah's, and Gold Strike. I'd say I get the most offers from Gold Strike, but they haven't given airfare yet, so I don't stay there. I'm kind of a stickler for airfare. Mike Houston, TX: When is your next Las Vegas trip? I bet you get some really crazy comps from that town! I don't really go to Las Vegas too often. Kyle, who owns this site goes there all the time, but I don't. However, I'm thinking about taking a trip there in November. I'll let you guys know for sure though. As far as comps in Las Vegas, sorry to burst your bubble but in my experience Las Vegas is harder to get comps for than any other gambling town. Put it this way... I got a flight voucher in the mail for Las Vegas for $400 a couple of days ago. The day after, I got a flight voucher from New Orleans for $800. I do get things there though, like free rooms, food, etc. Just not as much as other places. Randy Cleveland, OH: Hey, I think it's really neat that you can get all these things that you talk about from casinos. Hotels, food, sporting event tickets, free gifts....but can you get ANYTHING from them that you could want (wink wink...)? Haha, I think I know where you're going with this. If you are talking about stuff like drugs or hookers I really don't know, haha. I've never tried (sorry, I don't partake in either). I've also never heard of anyone really asking for that stuff. People joke about it, but I really just don't know. Should I ask for ya? Jessica Washington D.C. I'm turning 21 next month, and I'm going to Las Vegas with some friends for the first time. We have some extra cash to burn, and we wanna have a good time. Can you suggest some places for us to stay? Sure! The Wynn, Caesars Palace, the Venetian, or Mandalay Bay are good for what you're looking for. All of them are really nice, and have a good nightlife for people your age. You can't go wrong with any of these.
Well everyone, thanks for your questions, and keep sending them in! Next week I think I'm heading back to New Orleans. It's either there or Tunica so I'll decide in the next couple of days and I'll have a nice writeup for you. So see you next week!-Fred
